The Virtual Platform:

CTAT's Summer Virtual Conference 2020 will be an interactive online learning experience. This dynamic platform will feature keynote presentations, multiple breakout sessions to choose from, live Q&A with presenters, and solution provider showcase where you can learn more about available CTE tools and resources. Enter dedicated discussion rooms to share your questions and experiences. Not able to join all of the sessions during the live event? No problem. Registrants will have access to all recorded sessions for 90 days after the conference.

About the Platform

It’s an All-in-One Digital Event Platform!

The CTAT Summer Virtual Conference 2020 will use a virtual platform so we can give you the same great experience you're used to at in-person events including dynamic content, networking with other attendees, solution provider showcase and more. All from the convenient location of your choice!

Attendee Quick Reference Guide

Use a compatible browser. The platform works best on Safari and Firefox. Pro tip: Make sure your browser is up to date. There have been multiple people having trouble with NextThought while using Chrome. Try another browser if something is not loading. If it still isn't working, try refreshing your browser.

Join from laptop or PC. We recommend attending the CTAT Virtual Summer Conference through your laptop/PC, rather than your mobile device, for the best experience.

Check your internet speed. We recommend a minimum of 5mbps download and 2mbps upload. Ideally, we like to see 30mbps download and 10mbps upload or higher for the best quality. Test your speed here.

Restart your computer before joining the event. This ensures that there are no other video applications holding onto audio or video for any reason.

Please use headphones when participating on-screen. This will help eliminate echo and feedback.

How to access the platform: You will receive a unique access key on the morning of July 13 with a link to login. Please check spam folders if you do not see it in your inbox. IMPORTANT: Ask your IT department to allow all emails from the and domain to ensure you receive the details you need to participate in the virtual event.

Once you create a user name and password on the Next Thought website, you can then redeem your code/access key to see the additional training and/or conference module.

Your conference certificate will be available once a minimum number of presentation sessions and their surveys have been completed. To find the Conference Certificate, click on "View Profile", "Achievement", to see your certificate. Click the "CEU" in order to download the session list to track your CEUs.

All sessions, including the live zoom presentations, Q&As, handouts, and transcripts will be available for 90 days.

Platform Tips

How to Turn off Notifications from the Platform:

 1. Click on your profile icon at the top right corner and select manage profile:

 2. Next, select preferences, then uncheck the Communications box:

What is a 'Course'?

- The conference is a 'Course Module.' If you also register for additional trainings, those will also appear on your home page in the virtual platform as another course.
Will I have to enroll/register on the virtual platform site?

- Yes, you will receive an access code ("key") on July 13th for the Tech Check and you will create an account and redeem the code for the conference course module.
Can I still attend if I don't participate in the Tech Check on July 13th?

- Of course! You will receive your access key on July 20th and you will need to create an account in the virtual platform to access the conference module.
I did not receive a code / I am not able to access the virtual platform site, why is this happening?

- In advance, we ask that you check with your IT department to make sure all emails from the and domain are allowed in order to prevent firewall blockage so that you receive all pertinent details to access the event.

We'd love to hear from you
